I really think media browser might be the answer but I just need to get it started. Many have grown dissatisfied with the limited streaming options of subscription services like Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, and Amazon Prime. I have read so many forums all over the internet over the past 3 days trying to figure out this problem with media center reading my movie folders as empty. I can't tell that downloading media browser has done anything! I know this is probably the app of my dreams that will solve my media center problem, but what am I missing? How do I get it started? It hasn't added or changed anything in media center, there's no new shortcuts on the desktop. All of my media folders were already automatically added so I simply closed that window. I was able to get the configuration window. I then noticed a dvd library tab in media center, but yet it could not find any of my video folders. I deleted the codec packs I had already installed (as advised) and installed the shark vista codec pack. I was told to try out media browser and shark codec pack. ![]() Okay, so I was having a problem with my vista premium media center reading all of my movie folders as empty, even though I could go to the folder in my computer and open up any movie in each folder and it would play through wmp. Any help would be greatly appreciated, im an eager learner!Įdit: New problem after installing Powerdvd9, Media browser has disappeared from the interface. Ive installed QuicktimeAlternate so i'll be able to play these in Media Player Classic, but the trailer-genre ive created shows up empty, as ive probably not configured the use of external programs correctly. As an example ive got a couple of quicktime hd-trailers wich are. Would be great if someone could give me a comprehensive walkthrough as to how this is done. That said, im truly new to filetypes/media-playback etc., and have yet not figured out how I configure an external program for a filetype VMC dont support by default.
